IMPORTANT INFO FOR THOSE UPDATING TO THE UPCOMING 1.0.1 UPDATE
The new update will include a new sound bank, here’s what to do to make sure you don’t lose any of your sound.
- if you want to load the new updated bank, you have to do the “Reset Presets” function on the browser page.
- if you want to save the old factories, you have to “Save Bank As” inside the bank manager.
Q: Is there a manual?
A: there are help texts inside the app. if you open the context menus, you find help commands for all the modules. also it might be helpful watching the demo videos. see the demos page. A PDF manual can be downloaded here PPG WaveGenerator Manual PDF (updated 17th October 2012)
Q: Is there a MIDI mapping list for the parameters?
A: have a look into the context menu on the Setup page. there you find the CC List
Q: Using PPG WaveGenerator with Audiobus
A: To get best performance set the Audio Quality to Premium and the Audio Mix = on. If necessary reduce the number of voices.
Q: Is there a list of MIDI/Audio interfaces that work with the App?

Q: How do I start a new bank?
A: Use “Make a new bank” in the bankmanager on the browser page. Then copy one or more programs from the browser into the new bank.
Now you can select the new bank. (tap on the little triangle where you select the working bank) now this is your active bank. and you can make your own programs there. To start a new prog use “Init new” from the main menue.
Q: How can I make my own presets from factory sounds
A: Select the factory presets “Pr00000″ into the bank manager (lower field) do “Save bank as” under a new name. now you have a copy of the factorys now load this new bank inside the Program manager (upper part) use “Delete program” if you want to make space for new progs or simply edit the factorys, and save your changes.
Q: MIDI out seems not to work
A: To send MIDI, the Keys switch has to be set to Extern or Both.
Q: How many voices should I expect?
A: This varies from unit to unit and also what background apps you have running at the same time. It also depends on the sound used – sounds with shorter release times will allow the audio engine in the iPad to give more voices without loss of sound or stuttering.
We have achieved one of the best sounding Apps on the market as well as higher voice performance than other apps, but as always is the case, there will be limitations in the iOS environment.
